Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI) invites applications from suitably qualified and interested Tanzanians to work in the following advertised posts:
Position: Medical Doctor II ( 10 Posts)
Required Entry Qualification
Applicant must be a Holder of Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or MBCHB or its equivalent from a recognized institution. Must have completed one year internship and be registered by the medical council of Tanganyika as a Medical Doctor.
Main Duties and Responsibilities.
· Attending inpatients and outpatients
· Attending emergency medical duties.
· Carrying out investigations of admitted patients.
· Ensuring that prescribed instructions are carried out.
· Conducting minor operations.
· Assisting Surgeons at operations.
· Carrying out service and participating in major ward rounds.
· Supervising medical students and interns in clinical duties.
· Ensuring that patients are properly prepared for surgery.
· Participating fully in morning clinical sessions, patient presentation and journal clubs.
· Participating in research activities.
· Participating in outreach programs.
· Performing any other duties related to his/her work as assigned by his/her superior.
Remuneration
· Attractive remuneration package in accordance with Institute’s salary scale – PMGSS 10
