JOB PURPOSE
ToleadthecommercialmobileteamindevelopingandexecutingTigo’smobilecommercialstrategy; improving user engagement and value through mobile product innovation, pricing, strategic bundling and lifetime care management.

Key Responsibilities


Innovative commercial leadership
Lead the mobile commercial team on a day to day basis
Partner with other internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales & Distribution, MFS, Digital, etc) to guide strategic thinking around the mobile business and ensure the appropriate level of analytics is deployed to drive decisions; as well as forward-looking strategies ought to be driven by market and user insights, as well as an understanding of the changing trading environment.
Ensure that alignment exists between business units so that synergies are leveraged
Proactively works with team to know the performance and capability of the team, ensuring underperformance is addressed, potential is developed and everyone receives feedback, coaching and training – to maximize their contribution
Great at working with the team so that activity is aligned to business strategy; understands trends and market influences and how market changes need to be reflected in the business plan
Delivering solid results
Uses commercial strategy to create a detailed and achievable implementation plan. All market implementations are part of the Commercial Strategy and not random tactical plays.
Ensures our product portfolio best suits the consumer needs across all segments and categories
Develops a business and organization plan that delivers revenue and profit objectives (short, mid and longer term)
Manages commercial budget and guarantees we deliver on brand promise in all company products
Responsible of the validation of research plan, participation of innovation proposals.
Authorizes Product or Process Briefs
Authorizes business case, validates A&P, Brand Check and Pricing for the Offer. As well as authorizes final Blueprint of the offer
Validates test results, brand consistency and training plan.
Partners with Marketing and Sales & Distribution departments on all products launches
Works with Finance giving visibility of financial impact of commercial actions and forecasting through predictive tools
Partners with other business units to explore strategic bundling synergies and improve customer lifecycle management

Position Requirements


WORK AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • University Degree, preferably in Marketing, Communication, Engineering and Business Administration
  • MBA or Masters preferably in Marketing
  • 5-10 years Senior Marketing and managerial experience preferably in telecommunications, technology and/or FMCG
  • Successful candidate must demonstrate the following competencies:-

  • An in-depth thinker, talented developer of relationships and builder of trust – leading to results

  • You are passionate in Technology and prepared to take appropriate risk and share ownership of the risk
  • A conscientious communicator – promotes communication across the business, communicates clearly, engages others, articulates reasons for decisions, is open to others’ opinions
