We are currently looking to hire Security Supervisors & Trainers (Safety & Security Department) and control room operators for our Tanzania business. Department: Safety & Security Department
Job Position: Security Supervisors (2 Post) & Security Trainer (2 Posts)
Reports to: Security Officer
Location: Mufindi, Tanzania

Duties and responsibilities of Security Supervisor& Trainer

1. Raising concerns on staffing issues to site management
2. Assisting in the effective communication and training of the team, so that the service level
agreements are met in communicating health and safety to all personnel and visitors entering the
site
3. Ensure that all incidents are managed and responded to in accordance with Group Security
Guidance and procedures
4. Acting as a central point of contact for the security team
5. Monitoring the maintenance of the security systems and co-ordinate any necessary works
6. Make enquiries and submit reports on incidents as instructed
7. Compiling of daily and monthly statistics
8. Carry out inspections of security officers’ general appearance, tasks and procedures
9. Coordinate break entitlements

Job Position: Control Room Operators (3 Posts)
Reports to: Security Officer
Location: Mufindi, Tanzania

Duties and responsibilities of Control Room Operator

1. The control room operator’s duties are, but not limited to:
2. On completion of his/her shift submits a verbal and written end of shift report to the duty security
coordinator on all activities and incidents on his/her shift.
3. Monitor all radio communication.
4. Inform the supervisor on any incidents reported from security staff.
5. Update the occurrence book and accurate record all incidents with all relevant information.
6. Ensure the key register is correct and all keys are accounted for.
7. Maintain regular radio communication with all security posts.
8. Assist with handling any queries concerning visitors.
9. Perform any other tasks assigned by a superior
10. Report suspicious persons, vehicles activities immediately to the Security Supervisor, when the
situation is perceived an emergency
11. Maintain a healthy and safe place of work, ensuring all posts are in a clean and tidy condition at all times.

Relevant Skills and Experience for Security Supervisor, Trainer & Control Room Operator

1. Strong experience of security supervisory skills and security operations within supply chain /
consumer environment
2. Excellent team-working skills and experience gained via service in the police, military or other
government security agency or similar security roles
3. Wide industry knowledge of corporate security (ideally with military or police background) and
business risk management measures
4. Industry knowledge of business risk and security management principals
5. Minimum Secondary education completed at Form Four level and military/JKT training
6. 2 to 4 years Security Supervisory Experience
7. Excellent written communication and fluent in English &Swahili languages; IT skills desirable(
working knowledge of appropriate software programs that will facilitate reporting and control
aspects – This will include MS Office package)
8. Demonstrated ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
9. Strong working ethics like honesty, integrity
10. No Criminal Record

Job Position: Field Assistant Manager 1 Post
Reports to: Estate Manager
Location: Mufindi, Tanzania

Duties and responsibilities of Field Assistant Manager

1. Manage Estate Division to the highest agricultural standards and improve productivity through
a) Expansion and sustenance of mechanical harvesting operations by having best
practices of harvesting, post harvest handling and identification of potential MH fields.
b) Plan and oversee day to day operations by supervising hand plucking ,harvesting
personnel to ensure acceptable standards of green leaf quality is harvested and well
handled to the factory.
c) Plan and execute the estate division annual agricultural practice, pruning and fertilizer
application.
2. Ensure the division administration is managed by providing periodical crop forecast, validation
of payroll input/output, payments of employees and the entire financial expenditure is within
the budget.

Job Position: Mechanical Artisans 9 Post
Reports to: Assistant Manager, Engine & Pumps
Location: Mufindi, Tanzania

Duties and responsibilities of

1. Responsible for the day to day provision of technical support to mechanical tea harvesting
in the allocated estate.
2. Conduct daily machine pre start safety inspection
3. Conduct weekly repair and maintenance of the mechanical harvesting machines
4. Participate in the annual repair and maintenance of the light duty machines
5. Ensure proper storage and transportation of the light duty machines
6. Supervise mixing of two stroke engine oil and petrol
7. Participate in operator safety inductions and training on machine operability
8. Conduct TPM training to operators especially in relation to autonomous maintenance
(operator machine relationships)
9. Maintain records of repair and maintenance
10. Participate in the development of safe operating procedures and specific work instruction
for the light duty machines.
11. Collect, analyse, monitor machines performance data and issue weekly, monthly and
annual progress reports to the following key stakeholders Field Technology Manager,
Estate Manager and the Assistant Manager, Engine and pumps for business decisions.
12. Work closely with Field supervisors for monitoring and performance improvement.
