Position-Senior Business Development Manager, SBOM)

The Senior Business Development Manager will be reporting to Director of Business Development
(DBD) and will have the following tasks and responsibilities:

1. Promoting the role of PASS at meetings with partner institutions, potential clients etc, reaching them by distributing different meeting and promotional materials like handouts, posters etc.
2. In close liaison with the DBD, plan the Business operation program for PASS in accordance with overall PASS Annual business plan and ensure that key performance indicators are met or exceeded. -
3. Follow up, support and liaise with PASS Branches to ensure effective business growth and efficient relationships with bank officers at branch level, establish new businesses, business plans preparations and efficient submission of business plans to banks.
4.Ensuring quality of proposals presented to the PASS Board, and partner banks for financing, and assist branches in improving proposals/Business Plans to acceptable standards.
5.Ensuring quality of PASS portfolio and monitoring of the delinquency clients.
6.Assist and couch Branches to Prepare business proposal for corporate CLIENTS requesting
PASS Credit Guarantee.
7.Ensure timely preparation and submission of all business reports to management, Board of
Trustees and other stakeholders.
8.Be in - charge of Monitoring and Evaluation of PASS programs.
9.Maintain a database of PASS out reach and impact to community with the ultimate goal of demonstrating how poverty alleviation objective is achieved.
10.Managing and updating the Trust's website
11.Planning, organizing and managing the Trust's marketing events such as sponsorship/donation, new product launches, outlet opening, annual reports, press releases, announcing the Trust's outreach and impact to community and other activities that the Trust supports to gain public attention through media.
12.Prepare progress reports to management based on the agreed procedures.
13.Performing other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

A business development specialist with good knowledge/experience in Tanzanian agriculture and agribusiness development, with minimum experience of ~ years in business planning, project analysis, evaluation and monitoring.
A good academic background, minimum Masters Degree in agricultural field, preferably in agricultural economics, Business Administration or any similar qualification backed up by extensive experience in business planning, project analysis, evaluation and monitoring.
Must demonstrate experience in credit guarantee schemes and other financial or non financial
business development services required to accelerate investments in small and medium scale farming and agro enterprises.
4. Adequate experience in agricultural supply chain interventions for enhancement of small/medium scale agricultural development.
5.Knowledge in agricultural financing and experience in facilitation of lending to smallholders including experience in negotiating with Banks.
6.Should have hands on experience in business planning and project appraisal; familiarity and use of tools for agricultural and investment projects analysis is essential.

Term of employment

The Senior Business Development Manager will be employed on a three years' renewable contract; the renewal of the contract will be on the basis of the performance. PASS offers competitive remuneration package. The duty station will be in Dar es Salaam. '
