The Canadian High Commission is seeking a consultant to provide administrative and operational support to the Education Development Partner Group (Ed-DPG).
The Ed-DPG is comprised of multilateral and bilateral-donors. Canada is currently serving as the Ed-DPG Chair, and the UK is the Deputy Chair. The role of the consultant will be to assist with the coordination and alignment of development partner support with Government programs, and to facilitate information-sharing and dialogue between development partners and Government, with regard to Education programming in Tanzania. The consultant will report to Global Affairs Canada in Tanzania.
Bidders will be evaluated on the following criteria:
Experience providing administrative, logistical, and organizational capacity support, ideally to Education sector stakeholders in Tanzania; .
Experience in coordinating, liaising and sharing information with Government, development partner, civil society and/or private sector stakeholders, ideally Education sector stakeholders in Tanzania;
Experience initiating and facilitating policy dialogue between government and diverse sets of stakeholders, ideally involving Education sector stakeholders in Tanzania;
Knowledge of the Education Sector policy priorities and processes in Tanzania, including planning, management and budgeting of public sector resources.
Applicants must have, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree from a recognized university, and six months of experience within the last three (3) years in providing administrative and operational support.
The assignment also requires the ability to communicate ideas in a manner conducive to their practical application, work with teams to add value to collective results, and use Microsoft and other common computer software applications proficiently. Applicants must be fully fluent in both Kiswahili and English (both written and oral).
