SAUTI is 5 years USAID funded award being implemented by the JIPIEGO Tanzania in collaborations with Engender health, PACT and NIMR /MWANZA
The goal of SAUTI is to contribute to the improvement of all Tanzania through a sustained reductions in new HIV infections in support of the government Tanzania through deploying new and enhancing vulnerability – tailored high-quality combinations HIV preventions; POSITIVE HEALTH dignity and preventions and family planning services for key and vulnerable populations in selected regions of Tanzania. Anticipated projects results include
- Increase and time use of HIV prevention and F services
- Improved positive behavior and social norms at the individual and community levels
- Reduce vulnerability of women through novels structure inventors and Increasing sustainable HIV prevention service for KVP
The project is currently being implemented in selected district in Iringa, Njombe, Mbeya, Shinyanga, Dar es Salaam, Mtwara, Tabora Singida, Dodoma and Arusha region
JPIEGO seeks for the deputy chief of party for a 5 years , $73 million, USAID/Tanzania –funded SAUTI project, implemented by JPIEGO with partners engender health, pact and National Institute of Medical Research MWANZA. the SAUTI PROJECT SUPPORT THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GENDER, ELDERY AND CHILDREN, THE Tanzania Commission for AIDS(TACAIDS) and civil society organizations to operational state of the art high quality biomedical, behavior, and structural interventions for key and vulnerable populations including female sex welfare men who have sex with men, and adolescence girls and young women aged 15-25. The projects works at the community level to improve access to HIV prevention, treatment and care and family planning service and to address the gender norms and prevent gender –based violence
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development of strategic and activities fostering government suitability and ownership of KVP programming at regional and council levels
- Ensure regional field terms engage LGAs in planning, implementations, joint supportive, supervision, and CSO engagement
- Ensure regional specific quarterly and monthly progress reports for core SAUTI activities and CSO activities are shared with all the key people at the regional secretariat and local Government Authorities
- Work collaborative with ME team to ensure that appropriate data and that data are being used and shared for decisions making
- Oversees to the conditions of SAUTI project regional and District Advisory Committee
- Advice national concerpants on technical issues and participate in relevant advisory or working groups with counterparts and partners institutions
- Support the development and monitoring of SAUTI project charter and change management log
- Respect JIPEIGO and the programmer in public and professional circles through meeting, conference, and presentations
- Take overall leadership in the management of regional AUTI staffing In alignment with project human resources
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master degree in public health, health administrative, public administrations, business administration’s, medical or nursing degree is added advantage
- Minimum 8 years working experience in the health sector development program regulations compliance and reporting
- Excellent program and financial management
- Demonstrated strong technical experience in combinations of HIV preventions and care treatment and integrity FP and TB programs
- Excellent interpersonal and supervision skills inspiring teamwork and motivating staff and partnership to achieve
- Received USAID training on sub-award management
- Experience in sub-award management
- Experience in integrating gender equities and norms into programs
- Ability to work in complex environment with multiples task short deadlines and intense pressure to perform
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Kiswahili
- Program management certifications
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally
