This is a permanent role, with the work roster being fourteen (14) days on and seven (7) days off.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure safe work practices, by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting, conducting FLRA’s and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines.
Ensure accuracy of survey pickups and submission of blue cards.
Conduct QA/QC for development, ensuring spatial compliance.
Generation of over break reports for development headings and ensure compliance to design.
Perform laser checks.
Preparing markup file for DGPS"
Processing Stockpile picks reports.
Loading designs on the total stations.
Calculation of water volumes and issuing of digging permits.
Creation of Mine Cad template plots.
e-filing and Indexing of Mining instructions.
Development pickups and markups and processing as well as Cubex markup.
Updating station database.
Ensure that the below practices are enhanced and improved:
o Development/ Heading pickups
o Zero Misaligned strings (survey pickups accuracy)
o Quality (clean) built strings
o Surface infrastructure pickups
o Availability of laser memos
o Installation grade pins every 15m
o CMS surveys
o Duration of processing and updating CMS
Keep track of current mine instructions and archiving obsolete ones.
Ensure that the mine instructions / plans are always on time, very accurate and contain appropriate content.
Train and coach survey technicians.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualification Requirements:
Degree in Surveying or equivalent qualification from a recognized higher learning institution
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years surveying experience, preferably in mining.
Knowledge of surface and underground engineering construction work.
