CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2017/2018
Applications are invited from qualified Tanzanians for Masters and Doctorate programs tenable in the People’s Republic of China for the year 2017/2018.1.0 FIELD OF STUDY
1.1. Masters Degree
• Medicine
• Dental Surgery;
• Pediatrics;
• Nursing
• Industrial and systems engineering;
• Agricultural Products Processing and Storage Engineering;
• Architectural Engineering;
• Education Management;
• Pharmacy;
• Information Communication Technology;
• Electronic Engineering;
• Biomedical Engineering;
• Environmental Science and Management;
• Agriculture;
• Molecular Science and biotechnology
1.2. Doctorate Degree
• Medicine
• Cardiology;
• Radiology and Nuclear Medicine;
• Agriculture/Irrigation;
• Geotechnical Engineering; and
• Industrial and systems engineering; and
• Molecular science and biotechnology
2.0 QUALIFICATIONS
2.1 Masters Degree
Applicants for Master’s degree must:-
• have a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with GPA of not less than 3.5 and an average of B grade in the relevant subject for Health Sciences;
• be not more than 35 years by September, 2017; and
• be in good health.
2.2 Doctorate Degree
Applicants for Doctorate Degree must: -
• have Master’s Degree in relevant field with a GPA of not less than GPA 3.5 or an average grade of ‘B’ and above in relevant subject for Health Sciences;
• be not more than 40 years by September 2017; and
• Be in good health.
3.0 MODE OF APPLICATION
All applications are required personally to apply using application forms available online under Chinese Government Scholarship
(http://ift.tt/1d1FLcx or http://ift.tt/1kvCDqZ) and our Agency number is 8341. Completely filled form must be printed in duplicate and submitted together with the following attachments:-
• Two copies certified Academic Transcripts;
• Two copies of certified Birth Certificates or related documents;
• Study plan or research proposal (minimum of 800 words);
• Two letters of recommendations from Professors or Associate Professors;
• Two copies of Foreign Physical Examination Form filled in English (bearing a signature of attending physical, the official stamp of the hospital and a sealed photograph of the applicant); and
• Applicants with Admission letters from designated universities should enclose them in the application package.
• Applicants must indicate their reliable contact i.e telephone numbers and e – mail address; and
• Those who secured loans from Higher Education Students’ Loans Board must have started re – payments of granted loans (evidence must be attached)
4.0 SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS
Successful applicants will have to:-
• Purchase their own air ticket to the designated institutions in China;
• Candidates who wish to travel back to Tanzania on private basis shall be required to pay for their own air ticket. The Chinese Government will provide air ticket for homeward travel after completion of studies.
