Main Responsibilities
An Insurance Company is looking for a Senior Account Executive whose responsibilities includes to;
- Oversee the assignment of underwriting and claims authority to staff under supervision and establish controls to monitor their ability to accept risks, determine pricing and policy coverage;
- Provide professional advice to clients ensuring that they are fully aware of the ramifications of any relevant provisions of the Insurance Act and/or Industry agreements, relative to premium payments and other insurance matters;
- Identify potential clients/obtaining competitive rates /recommending programs that are considered suitable for each client’s operation;
- Monitor and report on market and competitor’s activities, provide relevant reports and information necessary to generate new business;
- Supervise, appraise and provide technical training to staff to increase skill levels, underwriting, claims, risk evaluation and client service.
- Attend clients renewal meetings and placing insurance covers in accordance with client’s requirements;
- Peruse and confirm that policy documents and endorsements issued by underwriters conform to the cover issued;
- Credit control by Premium collection and reconciliation of accounts assigned;
- Placement of insurance covers, negotiation of competitive premiums and effecting renewals of existing clients;
- Prepare and negotiate quotation for Accounts on Tender;
- Client serving and liaison, Issuing of risk debit /credit notes;
- Risk assessment by evaluating clients risk profile and determining the appropriate cover;
- Carry out insurance portfolio GAP analysis;
- Manage the annual renewal process;
- Participate in market negotiations & risk placement;
- Prepare invoices, declarations, security and custom bonds that meet client specifications; and
- Debt and claims management.
