Main Responsibilities
The project manager will be responsible for;
-Overall management, coordination and implementation of the Microleasing Project-Tanzania in line with approved project proposals, budgets and within agreed time frames.
-Maintain effective relationships with implementing/operational partners, local leaders, communities and other stakeholders to ensure that the project runs -smoothly.
Reviewing project budgets needs in line with the agreed project plans, in collaboration with the Regional Program Manager, Country Director and Program -Accountant and ensure that the project expenditures are in line with the agreed budgets and with donor requirements.
-Monitor the progress of micro-leasing project activities as per work plan and ensure compliance with project design and adherence to schedules as well as -ensure that resources are used appropriately and efficiently.
-Ensure project monitoring systems are adhered to and timely preparation and submission of project status reports as may be required by the overall Program Manager.
-Represent the organization on all appropriate forums within the project area, including all related stakeholder’s groups.
Qualifications :Degree
Requirements
At least 6 years’ experience in managing development projects in non-for profit organizations targeting rural farmers, marginalized groups and micro entrepreneurs.
IT Skills :Ms office
Experience
Dynamic, motivated, experienced and exceptional Tanzanian professional
Bachelor’s Degree in Development studies, Microfinance, Finance or any related education
He/she should have strong management skills in all aspects (i.e. project, human resources and financial management).
The project manager should have substantial experience in financial inclusion, microfinance and other related projects.
Knowledge of inclusive market approach/M4P approach.
Excellent interpersonal and people’s management skills and uphold values of a professionalism such as integrity, transparency and accountability.
Vast geographical knowledge as key development challenges in Tanzania.
Proficient with common computer programmes.
Should have good command for English and Swahili languages with ability to write internationally acceptable reports and proposals.
