PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To build, develop, and lead an effective team capable of delivering industry leading practices within the mine planning & technical support functions in order to achieve business objectives/targets.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree certification as a Mining Engineer with further Business studies an advantage
EXPERIENCE
BSc Mining / Engineering Degree or equivalent;
Five (5) to eight (8) years' proven experience in mine planning in both underground or open pit mining environment of which at least three (3) years is at senior supervisory level within a planning/technical department;
Preferably applicable business qualification (e.g. MBA);
Be physically fit and be able to pass pre-employment and medical examinations / screening;
Proficient with Mine Planning Software;
Excellent Communication Skills.

EXPERIENCE
BSc Mining / Engineering Degree or equivalent, or equivalent operational experience;
Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency or equivalent;
Eight (8) to ten (10) years' operational experience within an underground mining environment of which at least three (3) years is at senior management level;
Preferably applicable business qualification (e.g. MBA);
Be physically fit and be able to pass pre-employment and medical examinations / screening;
Familiar with Mining Software;
Excellent Communication Skills.
