JOB PURPOSE
The programme manager will work closely with the national Chair the clinical leads and the RCOG team implementing the work plan coordinating the training managing the communications produce narrative reports and contribute to financial reports for submission to RCOG. Reporting to maternal and child health manager programme manager oversees and manages the rest of the programme team including M&E Officer and bookkeeper and is also responsible for supporting the programme administrations in Kilimanjaro Region keeping spending within the overall budget
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the work of the LSC Programme team report the operational matters related to the programme to the MCH Manager
- Report to matters related to quality assurance in achieveing the prgramme manager objectives to the national program team
- Facilitate communication between in-country programme team and RCOG to ensure that programme activities are completed and overall objectives are met
- Act as the main administrative logistic and operational coordination for key programme activities and events
- Undertaken any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the national programme lead and MDH’s Manager
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Relevant graduate qualifications and 6-8 years experience in Public health women’s reproductive health, programme implementations, HR development and operations management
- Ability to manage and balance interpersonal skills among a diverse range of stake holders
- Very good organizational and time management skills
- High level verbal and written communications skills in English and Kiswahili
- Experience working in donor funded programme
- Experience working with the Tanzania Ministry of Health will be a distinct advantage
- Willingness to travel to Kilimanjaro region
