JOB REQUIREMENT
Adegree in civil engineering or higher diploma
Minimum 2 years experience on constructions project or in building maintenance
Preferred graduate with upper second is an added advantage
Must be familiar with maintenance upkeep of office facilities
Be able to work long hours communicate well have good reporting skills and be able to multitask
Excellent communications skills including verbal and written English
Must be proficiency in Ms Office and word AUTOCAD and ARCHICAD
Primary roles
To provide support in the supervision of constructions projects and following up on various identified task with regard to these projects as assigned
To provide support in the preparations of weekly and monthly preparations of report on building maintenance status and other related
Any other assignment of that may require the help of a civil engineer
SECONDARY ROLES
Other duties are to providing support to external contractors on the maintenance of the buildings with regard to
General maintenance of all fixed and loose asset electrical and mechanical system
Update the inventory of all items needed in the general repairs of physical assets for the buildings
Establish and update the database of suppliers and contractors able to repair and maintain the buildings physical state as required
WORK METHOD
o Ensure SOPs and SLAs for contractors are followed according to the contractor in place
o Carry out daily and weekly checks on all equipment at maintenance sites as instructed

o The candidate should have MCs in Agriculture science or related field with emphasis to roots and tuber crops productions
o At least 6 years working in the roots and tuber crops seed system
o Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to communicate with a brooded and diverse audience
o Ability to prioritize focus, and achieve results in a last practical
o Flexibility to work across the IITA programme to solve and share problems and identify and develop potential synergies
o Strong communications and negotiation skills
o Demonstrated management leadership skills and experience in the relevant geographic region
RESPONSIBILITIES
Solely or in directly negotiate advocate and mobilize resources for scalping up commercialized cassava seed system approach in Tanzania
At project level develop collaborative strategies influence investment priorities at local central government levels and mobilize resources for expanding the activities beyond the targets
Train selected individuals from the extension offices active NGS and progressive farmers all referred to as cassava seed system champions in advocacy and communications
Build capacity of the national partner to implent the program beyond the project
Communicate regional and district priorities to the project implements to ensure internal alignment with local and central government’s strategies goals
