Our client is looking for a senior business advisor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying the training and skills gaps with Business Advisors and Business Counsellors and accordingly develop their capacity to address gaps through direct support or linkages to partners / stakeholders.
Job Description
Assist the Country Partnership Manager to develop and sustain relationships with local training institutions, employers, implementing partners, and other key industry stakeholder
Broker relationships between BDS providers and SMEs to assure optimal outcomes in the success and impact of BDS support to SMEs
In partnership with the CPM, support youth to develop and register business groups (where relevant) to access value chain-based opportunities; access financing through SACCOs/VICOBAs
Ensure that the scope and projected impacts of all M&E, training and aftercare activities are correctly defined and understood by BAs and BCs
Mentor, train and coach BAs and BCs to improve their business management knowledge and skills and ensure that project staff consistently add value in their trainings and advisory services
Supervise program implementation in accordance with the work plan and TechnoServe corporate policies ensuring to identify, prioritize and sequence the activities required for successful delivery of activities under the direct training component.
Assist CPM, BAs, BCs with the identification and recruiting of new relevant partners
Provide direct and indirect aftercare support, training and linkages to youth starting or expanding business.
Coordinate implementation of business plan competitions with project beneficiaries
Monitor the quality of services provided to youth by BDS providers, financial service providers and other partners and act as mediator to resolve any disputes between the parties
Coordinate with the independent evaluator implementing the randomized control trial and provide operational support/guidance to BAs/BCs throughout the mobilization and transition process
Ensure BAs and BCs complete their individual performance goals in a timely and comprehensive manner
