METALLURGIST IN TRAINING (2 Years Fixed Term contract)

Programme Summary
 To acquire relevant technical knowledge, practical skills, and experience, in coordinating and
managing process plant operations.
 To develop competencies of a world class Process Engineer through rigorous acquisition and
deployment of best practices and metallurgical systems within Ore Processing plant environment

Minimum Qualification
 Degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering or
equivalent.
 Registration with a professional body/institution will be an added advantage.
 Experience in a mining environment will be an added advantage.
During the programme candidates will:
 Get exposure to practical, hands on work experience in the relevant mine areas on rotational basis.
 Get an appreciation for and apply relevant standards, policies and procedures in related fields.
 Get appreciation of application of theory to practical technical situations.
 Be accorded the relevant training and exposure to enable them to develop skills and competencies
necessary to subsequently perform substantive process engineering jobs competently.
