JOB TITLE: TEMPORARY LOGISTICS ASSISTANT
REPORTS TO: LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR
DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES & ADMINISTRATION
MAIN PURPOSE: To drive fund cars and transport staff and property. To provide logistical support in delivery of welfare services to Headquarter staff and all necessary support required by the Branches as guided by the Branch staff (Branch Manager/Supervisor Branch Operations).
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Transport fund staff and other assets to approved destinations
Ensure the security and safety of fund cars and accessories
Account for allocated fuel
Ensure log books are accurately filled in.
Early reporting of faults and repairs.
To make sure vehicles are washed and clean.
Physical inspection of vehicles and ensure vehicles are in good mechanical condition.
Follow up motor vehicle maintenance schedules.
Delivery of parcels and mails.
Establish liaisons with fund motor vehicle maintenance providers and other public partners e.g.
police, URA, Insurance, SGS
Carry field rescues and accident site salvage
Gather accident related information
Assist field staff in registration of employees
Inspect and report faulty office equipment
Supervise office cleanliness
Supervise the provision of staff welfare services (tea and drinking water) to staff at the Head Office.
Make routine and ad hoc reports to supervisors
Participate in coaching and testing other staff in driving skills
Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the line supervisor.
Education Requirements:
O ’Level Certificate and a valid Driver’s permit
Related Job Experience
2 years’ experience in a busy corporate organisation
Key Competences:
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
Good communication skills.
Excellent coordination and organizational skills.
High degree of integrity and confidentiality.
Ability to work under pressure.
Computer skills.
Driving skills.
