We are living in a time of Peak Youth. Never before and never again will there be such a large generation of young people ready and able to deliver change in their communities. These young people will provide not just the leaders of tomorrow but the energy to bring change today.
Restless Development has recently launched an ambitious new Global Strategy. Responding to the Priorities of young people with a Model for transformative change, our strategy will pioneer both a new type of decentralised Agency locally driven, globally connected and responding to young people and a Youth Collective allowing thousands of local groups & organisations and millions of young people to lead change.
Cutting-edge, values-led and dynamic in our culture, we work out of ten global hubs to offer expertise, support and innovation for youth and partners around the globe.
We are Restless. We are unleashing the power of youth to change our world.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual with plenty of potential to succeed in a global agency focussed on empowering young people to lead change and development. The Hub Director will take leadership of the Tanzania Hub, working through the management team to ensure all areas of financial, programmatic, people, quality and performance functions are implemented to a high standard. Restless Development is the youth-led international development agency. Based in 10 countries across the world, our work is delivered by young people, for young people, giving them the skills and resources to deal with the main issues facing their communities and countries. Tackling unemployment, supporting young people to stay in education, giving access to sexual health services, and showing young people what their rights are, Restless Development programmes are genuinely life-changing.
There are often no easy answers. We don’t believe in one size fits all. All our programmes, and the support we provide, are long-term, tailored and embedded into the ways of each individual community. They are driven, designed and delivered by local people for their own needs. From health centres and schools to local and national governments, we support ongoing discussions between services and the communities they serve to make sure young people’s needs are being met. Each project is delivered by passionate, motivated and inspiring young people, 90% from the countries in which they work.
