Reporting: Reports to the SCP Workshop Manager and Project Leader.
Location: Matambwe, Selous Game Reserve
Purpose: To efficiently and effectively manage the FZS SCP stores and provide administrative project support.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed records of the workshop stock register (entering all receipts, issues and balance of materials)
- Undertake regular physical check on quantity of materials in spare & tool store, and reconcile the stock on bin-cards and in computer software
- Check and control losses due to theft and leakage
- Maintain workshop job card records
- Maintain minimum stock balances of spares, oil and other consumables
- Prevent unauthorized personnel entering stores and tools area
- Maintain and keep a proper record of workshop tools and other project equipment
- Supply weekly and monthly reports on spare stock, repair on vehicles and tools
- Keep good contact with suppliers of spares etc., and arrange for quotations from supplier when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the stores
- Support SCP management team in maintaining the project asset register and fund balances
- Basic project administrative duties as required, e.g. filing, compiling reports
Requirements:
a. Qualifications and experience – essential:
- Diploma qualification in administration, storekeeping, accounting or similar
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role
- English report writing experience
- Familiar with MS Office, in particular Excel
- Good spoken and written English and Swahili
b. Qualifications and experience – desired:
- Vehicle Workshop stores management experience
- Cashier experience
- Database data entry and management experience an advantage
c. Behaviour Competencies
The successful candidate will:
- be willing to live and work with a small team in a remote location with very basic camp accommodation
- be a strong team player but able to work independently when required
- have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- have a strong sense of integrity, honesty, independence and the strength of character to alert appropriate managers should a problem arise
- be flexible and willing to support colleagues with reasonable requests
Salary Range:
600,000 – 800,000 TSH pm
