FINANCE MANAGER – CAMFED

JOB PURPOSE
Under the direction of finance or such other person as Camfed shall from time to time direct. Finance officer is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and smooth running of an accurate and up-to-date accounting systems provide management timely and accurate financial reports supports districts and other partners in financial management and records keeping

SPECIFIC ACCOUTABILITIES
• Donor reports preparations support, including co-funds accounting
• Preparation overhead costs analysis including donor recoveries
• Support in preparation of financial reporting packs and annual accounts
• Ensuring that financial records including documentation are properly filed and safely stored
• Managing records on gift in kind from community partners to the camfed  projects
• Reconciling all intercompany balance and preparation of clearing journals
• Spending tracking against planned activities and donor budget
• Review of the day to day program and administration payment requisition
• Performing weekly petty cash spot checking
• Review as second eye on the daily financial journals prepared by the team
• Managing accrual preparations and postings
• Managing monthly balance sheet schedule reconciliations
• Managing Camfed Tanzania KIVA Loans to beneficiaries
• Administration of field advanced and petty cash

Other activities
- Initiation of payments via check and online banking platform
- Managing staff and stakeholder retirements to the funds sent for various activities
- Bank and cash reconciliation on monthly basis
- Supporting finance delivers as defined from time to time


PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
ESSENTIL
- A degree in accounting and finance
- Registered with NBAA – (CPA)
- Skills in Excel, Salesforce, database and other accounting packages as well as MS Office
- Honesty and integrity
- An eye for details, strong quantitative skills and flexible, proactive and problems –solving approach at work
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to keep  to deadlines
DESIRABLE
- Experience in auditing and preparing year-end-financial
- statement
- relevant accountancy experience gained from working for an international NGO
