Description
Job Purpose
She/he will provide hands on implementation of BORESHA AFYA activities in Ngara and
Biharamulo. She will liaise and work closely with Health Facility Supervisor, Health
Governance committee and local leaders to ensure demand for RM2NCAH services is
increased. The position requires a high degree of integrity, professionalism, flexibility
and perseverance, as well as the ability to anticipate identity and resolve problems in
the field.

Experience
At least One year hand on field experience on RM2NCAH+N

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure that the program approaches, objectives and goals as well understood and implemented
accordingly at ward and village level.
Provide backstopping to the CHW and M/F support groups to be able to implement the program as per program plan.
Coordinate and undertake Community mobilization activities such as community mobilization, cinema show, bonanza, gender dialogue, community score card, men to men groups to generate demands and conduct Gulio la afya
Coordinate and facilitate monthly CHW reviews, data collection, data entry into DHIS II and write monthly performance report
Assimilate data from CHWs, facility supervisors, analyze and generate plausible interpretation for
community feedback and actions.
Remains up-to-date with latest maternal and child health indicators; develop innovations document, best practices for scaling up.
Comply with HDT online planning and reporting as well as development of website updates on lessons, and achievements.
Maintain appropriate and smart filing for program both in soft and hard copies.

Personal Specification
Experience:
-Diploma or Degree in social work, community development or any other social science
relevant to fulfill the above responsibilities.

Energetic team player who enjoys working with community structure and members.
At least three years of progressively responsible experience as a program development
professional, community health whose experience includes working with NGOs and
Faith Based Organizations.
Preference for candidates that have been involved in donor funded community health
development programs.
Technical:
Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point presentation, Outlook and valid driving license

Skills:
The Program Officer must demonstrate:

Ability to set goals, monitor progress and raise signal when interventions are facing
impending risks.
Very good oral and written communication skills.
Personal attitude, behavior and appearance that reflect professionalism at all times.
Ability to work with team members, stakeholders and community members of national
communities.
Motorcycle.
