Fitter Mechanic (1 Post)
Reporting Line: Mechanical Foreman
Work Station: Biharamulo Mine Site
Contract Duration: 15 Months, Subject to renewal
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To ensure workplace is kept in a safe working condition and mechanical work
- across the Biharamuro mine site is carried out safely, professionally and efficiently.
- To carry out preventative maintenance and provide accurate and timely feedback
- to the Mechanical Foreman on condition that may affect the assets functionality.
- To carry out troubleshooting, faultfinding and corrective maintenance in order to
- solve unplanned equipment, unavailability event and provide accurate and timely
- feedback to the mechanical supervisor on condition that may affect the assets
- functionality
- To also ensure that shift supervisor and all stakeholders are kept informed on equipment availability status.
- Nil lost time incidents and safe work environment
- Complete assigned work in a timely manner with minimum supervision and to an international standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to work to all STAMIGOlD Policies and procedures.
- Mechanical repair and preventative' of sag mill, Cil Slurry pump and solution
- pumps, lab machinery, agitators' mixers, transfer chute, Hooper bean, pipes,
- process plant mechanical equipment including conveyors and other equipment.
- To carry out various task and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
- Any other duty in line with your position as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Professional Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of (3) years' work experience as Fitter Mechanic/Boiler Maker in
- workshop and sites.
- Trade qualified - Mechanical Fitter/boiler maker.
- Post trade studies - engineering/maintenance/trade
- At least Trade test certificate from recognized college or 2years Technical School
- Proven diagnostic skills with Open Pit mining equipment & other mobile and fixed plant equipment.
- Microsoft Excel and Word will be an added advantage
