Job Summary
The Senior Manager System auditor will be responsible for providing an independent and objective
assurance on the effectiveness and efficiency of the Core bank systems, internal controls, and risk
assessments on Information Technology and Communication (ICT) systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To assist Director of Internal Audit in developing risk assessment and annual audit plan with
emphasis on IT systems and applications.
Assists Director of Internal Audit in developing and implementing internal auditing manual,
policies, procedures, and program.
To maintain and support IT infrastructure of the Audit directorate.
To provide IT guidance to team members to ensure that the overall objectives of the audit are
met.
To extract and analyze data from the banking core system and other bank records, including
defining audit scope and tests for audit at field works.
To conduct planned audit fieldwork in specified areas of IT in relation to Credit function,
Operation and Financial activity and report on the findings and recommendations.
To review the accuracy and efficiency of the bank accounting system and internal controls.
To monitor accuracy of data in different IT system like core banking system and all other
software used by the bank.
To keep the Chief Manager Audit regularly informed of the progress of the audit and
exception issues on IT.
To prepare audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings and evaluating the
sufficiency and appropriateness of audit evidence to support conclusion drawn.
To conduct systems audit exit conference with auditee after the end of audit at field work.
To draft the audit report after completion of audit work and submit to Chief Manager Audit for
review.
To follow up and report on implementation of internal, external and BOT audit findings and
recommendations related to Systems and infrastructure.
To carry out Systems Special investigation and writing investigation reports for fraud cases
and recommend for preventive and control measures.
To carry out special assignments as may be directed by Management from time to time as
deemed appropriate.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Education: Holder of bachelor’s degree/Advanced Diploma in Computer science/Information
Technology or equivalent qualification.
Experience: Should have at least five years relevant working experience in reputable organization
Skills / Attributes:
- Professional Qualification of CISA is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of programming is essential.
- Experience in Standard Query language (SQL) will be an added advantage
- Person of integrity and Honest
- Good communication skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Work independent with minimal supervision.
- Change oriented and committed to results.
