Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Continuous rigorous performance management, delivering effective use of resources.

Manage Corporate Affairs budget within limits, with a culture for cost management.

Provide support in driving the reputational policy and process. This includes working with CEOs and Regional/Group Corporate Affairs to ensure that Group Reputational Risk procedures are being implemented and Reputational Risk issues are identified and addressed, and proper escalation occurs.

Understand and implement media relations strategies. Supports the Media Relations strategies within country to ensure effective issues management and processes for handling the media are in place.

Provides an effective co-ordination role during crisis communications which includes keeping crisis & issues procedures, systems and critical contact lists up-to-date and ensuring effective distribution of stakeholder messages throughout the crisis.

Establish and maintain useful and credible contact lists for Government and Political Affairs. This includes monitoring the political environment and lobbying/positioning with government bodies to support the company’s agenda.

Understand the role of Sustainability and environmental conservation in reputation management and establishes, gains buy-in and executes for the Sustainability strategy that CA is responsible for.

Support the development and delivery of the strategic direction of Community Relations strategies and processes to ensure continuous improvement, sharing best practice and that the appropriate initiatives are in place.

Support the internal communications strategies which directly support business operations and the achievement of business goals.

Awareness of the importance of good Investor Relations. Assist with activities consistent with agreed plans and processes, e.g. results presentations and analysts trips.

Lead and support the Corporate Affairs Strategy and Planning Process aligned with Company’s strategy and challenges.

Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Managing Director.

Position Requirements

A Masters degree in Politics, Public Affairs, Communication or any other related field.

Knowledge and understanding of current trends and development in information technology is a must.

Must have worked in a similar position incorporating analysis and problem solving principles within a medium to large organization.
