Job Description

-To effectively manage the tax affairs of the company and maintain excellent relationship with the relevant tax
authorities.
-Timely advice on tax implications of proposed transactions,
services and new legislation as it affect Airtel Tanzania
- Overall direction on annual tax budget and quarterly tax
forecast.
- Co-ordination of response to queries from Tanzania Revenue
Authority on tax audit.
- Handle correspondences with the Group Tax on Airtel
Tanzania Tax matters
- Co-ordination of preparation and filing of all Tax returns filed
with both the TRA and other local authorities for compliance
purposes
- Review of Airtel Tanzania contractual agreements for tax
compliance purposes
- Co-ordination of month end management reports on tax
matters.
-Relationship Management with all the Relevant Tax
Authorities, External Auditors, Tax Consultants and other
regulatory agencies on Airtel Tanzania Tax matters
- Deal effectively with tax claims to prevent lengthy litigations.
- Continuously monitor various taxation laws, applicable and
ensuring compliance thereof.
-Establish performance expectations and regularly review
individual performance
- Enhance tax knowledge through practical training to direct
reports
- Recommend appropriate rewards and recognition


Position Requirements

-Graduate Degree : Taxation, Accounting or Law , Professional qualification in
Accounting/Taxation/Law
-6 -10 years of Tax practice experience and In-depth knowledge of the Tanzania Tax laws
and regulations.
-Relationship management and Good interpersonal skills
-Resilience
