Position Summary
This position requires a candidate with incredible drive, the ability to train and manage others, and the desire to become one of the leading managers and decision makers in our fast growing business. The recruit will be based in the Dar es Salaam office, but will work across our growing group of businesses regionally. The job will also involve working alongside of members of the accounting, administrative and operations teams in order to ensure that HR procedures are designed, implemented and executed correctly.

Major Job Responsibilities
Recruiting, training and managing a team of HR specialists as the business grows
Working with the various departments to understand requirements, write job descriptions and assist in recruiting new employees
Screening of all candidates to ensure they have the necessary qualifications; making recommendations as to which candidates to hire
Developing systems to streamline the recruitment and screening process in the future
Writing an Employee Handbook and SOP for Induction
Managing and amending contracts; ensuring payroll is in accordance with employee contracts, and employment law /working conditions are adhered to
Liaising with our HR consultant on payroll/ HR issues
Developing an Employee Advancement Programme and scheduling regular relevant training; giving regular input into the structure of the Company and suggested improvements
Liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries, providing an office for staff to approach with any queires
Maintaining Advance & Loan reports, maintaining leave, sickness and overtime reports, developing clear policies regarding these
Termination of Personnel, Calculating and paying dues for termination of contract

Education, Experience & Skills
Masters or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management
8 years work experience in a Generalist HR functions Manager in a reputable organization with at least 4 years at Management level
Strong experience in all aspects of HR with focus on Recruitment, Transformation, IR/Labour laws and OD with experience of managing more than 200 employees
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swahili languages
Must be self-driven, motivated and result oriented
Must be proficient in basic computer applications (i.e Microsoft Office)
Must be a good team player as well as be able to facilitate change
Ability to counsel and instruct company employees in a professional manner to achieve positive results
Ability to prioritize workload and maintain organized records
Mature, discreet, and responsible
Work well under pressure and take initiative
Ability to utilize computer in daily operations
