The Jubilee Insurance Company of Tanzania Limited is a top ranking insurance company operating in Tanzania. They wish to recruit suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies for their head office in Dar es Salaam:

MANAGER - CLAIMS (GENERAL)
The purpose of the role is to run the claims department effectively and efficiently by ensuring prompt processing of claims and recoveries by competent and motivated staff at minimal costs with focus and emphasis on service delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Managing and providing oversight on the claims division (General Business) to ensure that departmental standards, guidelines and protocols are met effectively and on a timely basis.
• Supervising the claims staff and ensuring that they meets the required standards.
•Identifying valid claims through careful analysis and ensuring prompt settlement by the various claims adjusters.

• Ensuring that the reported and outstanding claims are properly allocated and reviewed in line with the established procedures.
• Ensuring that recoveries are aggressively pursued against negligent third parties as well as reinsurers and facultative participants.
• Supervising and providing technical support to adjusters and branches on all claim issues.
• Ensure cost minimization and enhancement of company image through claims settlement and salvage sales, monitoring overall costs of claims department, performance of service providers as well as ensuring cordial relationships with service providers, brokers and clients. %ow

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Thorough understanding of claims department's guidelines and audit procedures.
• Strong claims adjudication background.
• Full knowledge of Fire, Marine, Motor, Liability, Accident, Miscellaneous and other claims that fall under the General Department.
• Ability to analyze complex fact pattems and to develop action plans to overcome .any obstacles identified to assure optimal results.
• Should have a minimum 8 years of claims handling experience - with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelors Degree,preferably in insurance or a business related field in addition, ACIl professional qualification is most preferred.
• Pro-active, self-driven with sound communication, interpersonal and networking skills are desirable.
• Fluency in written and verbal English is essential.

MANAGER - RETAIL BUSINESS (GENERAL)
The key responsibility of this role will be to drive and grow the general insurance retail business by providing overall leadership to the business development team and influencing motivation in order to make them succeed commensurate with their capacity.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• People management skills for both of internal and external partners.
• Effective team player.
• Full understanding of the insurance market and its regulations.
• Presentation skills.
• Graduate in business related degree (marketing, commerce, insurance or economics). A Master's Degree would be an added advantage. Preference will be given to those with Insurance qualifications.
• Minimum eight years of handling sales of retail financial products experience, four of which must have been spent in a supervisory role.
• Excellence in sales and proven technical knowledge of General insurance business.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite and packages.

MANAGER — RISK CONTROL (GENERAL) .
• The key responsibility of this role will be to provide leadership and coordinate all surveys with a view to contributing to the profitability of the company by offering expert advice on risk improvement measures and surveying of risks before underwriting. The person will also ensure compliance of risk management on matters pertaining to General Insurance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Excellence in risk management knowledge.

• Full understanding of relevant legislation in respect of risk protection and improvements.
• Possession of insurance market intelligence and business development skills and capital markets.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field. ACII qualification is most preferable.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a related field with 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in risk Engineering/Underwriting.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite and packages.
• Aptitude in the preparation of risk evaluation reports.
