Company Background
Sao Hill Industries Ltd operates one of the largest Sawmills in East Africa, producing high quality sawn timber as well as pallets, doors and other value-added products. The company is also the main supplier of transmission poles in Tanzania. Sao Hill Industries Ltd also operates two state-of-the-art timber treatment plants.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate shall have:
1. Bachelor in Procurement and Logistic graduate
2. The candidates must have recently graduated or graduated not earlier than June 2016.
Duties
Procurement and Logistic graduate
a) Assist in verifying and prepare statements of user requirements.
b) To assist in Establishing, maintain and develop the administrative processes with suppliers;
c) Assist to ensure proper purchase orders are issued in accordance with the category of procurement;
d) Assist to check that purchasing documentation corresponds with existing agreements/contracts;
e) Assist in Reconciliation with requesters and suppliers on specification of details and delivery follow up on purchased goods and services.
f) Assist to maintain a proper filing and tracking system on the status of all requisitions and issued PO's
g) Assist in Purchase Management: Sourcing, receiving, negotiating and evaluating quotes from suppliers.
h) Assist to follow up with suppliers and liaise with stores on timely delivery;
i) Assist to coordinate, prepare and process payment to approved suppliers, follow up & reconcile with finance on due payments.
j) Any other duties reasonably assigned by the manager/supervisor
