Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI) invites applications from suitably qualified and interested Tanzanians to work in the following advertised posts: 

Position: Accountant II ( 2 Posts) 

Entry Qualifications: 
Applicant must be a Holder of B.COM (Accounting/Business Administration), ADA or its equivalent. Also must be computer literate. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 
· Maintaining all books of accounts and allied records. 
· Preparing monthly trial balance and bank reconciliation statements. 
· Verifying debtors and creditors statements of accounts. 
· Preparing quarterly, half yearly and annual financial statements. 
· Maintaining fixed assets register and preparing schedule of fixed assets for final accounts. 
· Ensuring that collection of and accounting for Institute funds is done appropriately and promptly. 
· Examining and scrutinizing all cheque payment vouchers before they are authorized by Head of Department. 
· Verifying assets and reconciling the same between general ledger and fixed assets register.
· Reviewing periodic reports and providing appropriate input. 
· Preparation of budget. 
· Assisting in correcting and approving internal audit reports and queries. 
· Performing any other duties related to his/her work as assigned by his/her superior. 

Remuneration 
· Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institute’s salary scale – PGSS 10
