JOB SUMMARY


  • Provide administrative and program support in the implementation of the project, give guidance and technical expertise to oversee implementation, monitoring and assessment for performance Improvement
  • Coordinating PAC-FP interventions in collaboration with MOH and other stakeholders.
  • Provide Technical assistance to Training teams and other Providers on PAC and FP skills and interventions.
  • Identify skills gaps and training needs assessment and capacity building for PAC-FP project area.
  • Oversee Trainings and Quality Improvement tools implementation.
  • Work with MOH Officials and other implementing partners in ensuring that all guidelines are followed.
  • Provide technical direction and oversee quality assurance in Reproductive health and PAC family Planning service delivery systems.
  • Provide Technical assistance on Integration of services


Responsibilities:


  • In partnership with MOHCDGEC, the EH/TZ – Program Manager, PAC-FP will technically lead the planning and monitor progress, evaluation of ongoing project activities.
  • Provide expert technical assistance to integrate FP into the project’s core and expanded PAC-FP services, using the 5 Steps EH integration approach.
  • Support the development and delivery of PAC-FP services through collaboration with MOHCDGEC facilities
  • Ensure that FP counseling and a mix of FP methods are systematically and effectively integrated into all PAC-FP service delivery models
  • Develop and implement training plans, support supervision and monitor and evaluate the increased capacity of providers to offer high quality rights-based FP counseling, and short and long acting FP methods services
  • Coordinate and collaborate closely with other implementing partners to maximize project synergies.
  • Ensure gathering of project requirement and reports to be submitted timely
  • Implement project financial control measures and ensure effective and efficient expenditure
  • Enhance collaboration and partnership with stakeholders.- Coordinate implementation, monitoring and evaluation of PAC-FP project area.
  • Participate as key project Management staff and member of the Tanzania EH Management Team in the organization
  • Develop an appropriate referral mechanism for PAC – LARCs services as needed.
  • Support, advocate and advise national ministries and decentralized government authorities, training and research institutions, and civil society organizations, in addressing the FP needs of PAC clients.
  • In partnership with other relevant project staff, participate in the preparation of semi-annual, annual, and other relevant reports or documentation as required by the funding agency and/or key partner organization (MOHSW).
  • Attend the National Family Planning Technical working Group meetings in mainland and Zanzibar to ensure that FP needs of Post Abortion clients are adequately addressed.

Key Qualifications:

• Advanced university degree in relevant field e.g. public health, international development, social sciences, anthropology, or a related field.
• At least 7 years’ experience providing TA in areas related to FP, and PAC-FP integration
• Expertise in FP services (including LARCs) and FP provision to PAC clients
• Experience with curriculum development/adaptation, provider and supervisor training and follow-up, service integration, referral systems, and development of client-responsive services.
• Knowledgeable on situation of FP and Post Abortion services in Tanzania
• Demonstrating required clinical knowledge and skills, for the provision of family planning and related reproductive health services for postpartum and post abortion clients.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills to design, plan and conduct FP /RH including PAC trainings for service providers and supervisors
• Knowledgeable on the National Guidelines for Post Abortion Care in mainland and Zanzibar.
• Good understanding of strategies for ensuring clinical quality in provision of MCH, FP and post abortion care and other related services.
