Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) is implementing its strategies to increase access and connectivity of its energy services and products for Tanzanians to support the government’s industrialization agenda. The company is currently expanding its business by investing heavily in generation, transmission and distribution network. In line with this, TANESCO now invites applicants who are self-motivated, honest, hardworking and committed individuals to fill the positions under Specified Period Employment terms of Twelve Months Period (12).

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for execution of all Instrumentation and control maintenance works/activities in the Plant with objective of ensuring smooth operational of power generating equipment.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Respond promptly to emergence calls during emergence breakdowns to ensure restoration of fault equipment within minimum time possible.
- Attend the plant Maintenance works as schedule, keep maintenance records, equipment status updating and submit work reports after repairs or preventive maintenance.
- Ensure all the instruments are in a good order and properly functioning.
- Execute properly preventive maintenance of instruments and control equipment in a planned time to ensure emergence breakdowns are avoided.
- Carry out necessary repairs.
- Responsible for carrying out installation and testing of new control and measurement instruments.
- Observe safety regulations when carrying out maintenance duties to ensure no accidents to people and equipment.
- Maintain and keep in safe custody all equipment and working tools under your jurisdiction
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Trade Test in Instrumentation and Control or Electrical and Electronic Engineering/FTC from a recognized Institution
Certificate of Secondary Education Form IV or VI
Computer literacy is a must.
